Terms & Conditions - Last Updated: August 26, 2026
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Canada Core Electronics website and the repair, technical, and other services provided by Canada Core Electronics ("Canada Core Electronics," "we," "us," or "our").
1. Services
Canada Core Electronics provides electronics repair, diagnostics, troubleshooting, upgrades, soldering, custom parts, and other related technical services.
Services may include phone and tablet repairs, laptop and computer repairs, game console and controller repairs, headphone and audio equipment repairs, soldering and board-level repairs, PC upgrades, IT troubleshooting and diagnostics, VR equipment, and miscellaneous electronics services.
The availability of a particular service depends on the device, its condition, the nature of the problem, and the availability of suitable parts or equipment.
We reserve the right to decline a repair or service request when we determine that the requested work is unsafe, impractical, beyond our capabilities, or otherwise unsuitable.
2. Service Requests and Quotes
Customers are responsible for providing accurate information about their device and the issue they are experiencing.
Any price or timeframe provided before the device has been inspected may be an estimate and may change after a diagnostic assessment.
If additional work is required beyond the originally approved service, we will seek customer approval before proceeding with the additional work.
3. Diagnostics
Diagnostics may be required to determine the cause of a device failure or malfunction. The diagnostic process may involve testing, disassembly, software testing, component testing, or other procedures appropriate to the device.
Diagnostic fees, where applicable, will be communicated to the customer before the diagnostic service is performed.
4. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for providing accurate information about their device, disclosing known damage or previous repairs, backing up important data, and providing any necessary authorization required to perform the requested service.
Customers should not submit a device containing irreplaceable data without maintaining an independent backup.
5. Data and Privacy
Customers are responsible for backing up their own data before submitting a device for repair or service.
Although we take reasonable precautions while handling customer devices, repairs, diagnostics, software procedures, component replacement, and other technical work may carry a risk of data loss.
Canada Core Electronics is not responsible for the loss of customer data resulting from a repair or service, except where liability cannot legally be excluded or limited.
6. Replacement Parts
Replacement parts may be new, refurbished, or otherwise suitable parts depending on availability and the requirements of the repair.
Part availability may affect repair pricing and completion times. Customer-supplied parts may be accepted at our discretion, and we cannot guarantee the compatibility, quality, or performance of parts supplied by customers.
7. Payment
Payment is required according to the payment terms communicated to the customer for the applicable service.
Customers are responsible for the agreed cost of the repair or service, including applicable parts, labour, diagnostic charges, taxes, shipping, or other disclosed charges.
8. Pickup, Delivery, and Shipping
Canada Core Electronics may offer pickup and delivery services within designated areas of Metro Vancouver. Availability may depend on the service, location, device, and other circumstances.
Where mail-in repairs are offered, customers are responsible for packaging their devices appropriately and providing accurate shipping information.
9. Repair Warranty
Warranty coverage, where offered, depends on the specific repair and the parts used. Any applicable warranty period and conditions will be communicated to the customer with the completed repair.
A repair warranty may not cover new damage, accidental damage, liquid damage occurring after the repair, misuse, unauthorized modifications or repairs, problems unrelated to the original repair, or failures of unrelated components.
10. Unrepairable and Unclaimed Devices
If a device cannot reasonably be repaired, the customer will be informed and may be given the option to collect the device.
Customers are responsible for collecting completed or unrepairable devices within the applicable collection period communicated by Canada Core Electronics.
11. IT and Troubleshooting Services
IT and troubleshooting services may involve changes to software, operating systems, settings, networks, or other system configurations.
Customers are responsible for maintaining backups of important data before troubleshooting or other technical work is performed.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Canada Core Electronics will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, consequential, or unforeseeable losses arising from the use of our services.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude, restrict, or limit any liability, right, or remedy that cannot legally be excluded, restricted, or limited under applicable law.
